SYMPOSIUM PROPOSAL

Guidelines for Symposium Proposal Submission

The Malaysian Anatomical Association welcomes submissions of symposium proposals for the 8th IASCBC, in conjunction with the 3rd MAAC 2025. We invite Anatomy scholars and professionals from around the world to contribute to this symposia. To ensure a smooth submission process, please follow the guidelines outlined below:

Submission Process:

  1. Proposal Form: Complete the Symposium Proposal Form. ALL fields MUST be accurately filled in to be considered for review.

  2. Deadline: Submit the completed proposal form by 28 February 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.

  3. Review Process: The Scientific Program Committee will review all submissions after the deadline. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email by 30 April 2025.

Symposium Structure:

  1. Duration: Each symposium will last 90 minutes.

  2. Speakers: The symposium will feature 2–4 speakers, including the chairperson, presenting and discussing a unified topic.

  3. Chairperson:

    1. The session organiser will serve as the 1st session chair.

    2. You may nominate one additional chairperson as the 2nd session chair.

    3. The chairperson may also serve as one of the speakers, if necessary.

Fee Waiver:

  1. A fee waiver will be granted to the symposium speakers, including the chairperson, with a maximum of 4 participants eligible for the waiver per symposium.

Symposium Topic and Description:

  1. Provide a title for the symposium and a description of the topic (maximum 150 words).

  2. The symposium should fall under one of the following categories:

    • Cell biology

    • Neuroscience

    • Cancer Research

    • Anatomy Education

    • Regenerative Medicine

    • Forensic Anthropology

    • Clinical & Applied Anatomy

    • Body Donation and Ethics in Anatomy

    • Community Engagement in Anatomical Sciences

    • Technology-Enhanced Anatomical Learning & Tools

Session Chair Information:

  1. Include the name and details of the 1st session chair and, if applicable, the 2nd session chair.

  2. Speaker Information:

    • List the name, affiliation, and title of the talk for each speaker (up to 4).

    • The speakers must represent different countries

    • The chairperson may also serve as a speaker if necessary

    • Upload an abstract for each speaker's talk.
